JOB
Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining the parts warehouse by receiving and storing parts and for filling customer orders.
Essential Functions:
Receives shipments. Identifies parts from shipments. Places parts in proper bin location.
Performs daily bin and physical inventory counts.
Pulls and delivers parts to fill customer orders in timely fashion.
Picks up of parts from outside vendors and delivery of parts to customers as required.
Adheres to good housekeeping and Contamination Control Standards.
Loads and unloads freight trucks properly. Ships parts orders, properly secures loads.
Fabricates hydraulic hose assemblies and repairs by sample and hose build specifications.
Inspects and processes returns, including cores, unused parts, and damaged parts following policies, procedures and guidelines.
Processes parts transfers and returns with attention to accuracy and parts condition. Follows exceptions with necessary communication/documentation.
Performs daily safety inspections and maintains safety logs of mobile equipment.
Maintains a count of shortages and overages. Follows up with necessary communication to warehouse supervisor.
Adheres to all customer care standards.
Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States. Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Western States' strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.
Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
# Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Working knowledge of forklift.
Ability to obtain forklift operators certification.
Ability to learn and use computer systems for time entry, personnel data, e-mail, and basic DBSi parts operational functions.
Ability to work overtime with short notice.
Consistent attendance.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Proof of driver's license and acceptable driving record.
6 months equivalent warehouse experience preferred.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Exposure to extreme fumes, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dirt.
Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
