Perform a variety of accounting and inventory tasks with lead responsibility for raw material inventory, maintaining inventory records, monitoring/reconciling accounts, and data entry.
Complete transaction-based processing and data tracking to support mill accountants in month-end closing, as assigned.
Maintain raw material inventory.
Perform monthly reconciliations for offsite warehouses, troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies.
Process aged inventory for billing, communicating transaction information to customer service and warehouse personnel (daily activity).
Perform and provide documentation of account reconciliations and analysis as assigned.
Analyze and audit various account transactions for consistency, completeness and arithmetic accuracy, and make adjustments if needed.
Required education and related experience:
Associates degree, or work experience equivalent, with competencies in accounting.
1 or more years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.
Basic understanding of general ledger accounts required.
Requires knowledge of basic accounting principles, math skills, and good verbal communication skills
Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):
Intermediate skills in using Excel, Word and enterprise accounting systems required.
Ability to complete tasks as directed by the Mill Controller and Warehousing/Inventory Control Manager.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
